Sure, the game looks good, the colors are nice, environment details are appealing and the lighting is just great but at times you might wish it would have been a bit better, after all, the concept behind the game is wonderful.
You don’t know how many islands there are, how they look, what’s on them and so on, which makes the game all that more appealing if you’re into exploration games that really take you into the unknown.Įach time you start a game everything around you will be different, the resources scattered all over in random places and even the pirate camps spawn in new places so you always have to keep an eye out for danger.Ī downside to this method of creating the islands and everything else, is that the graphics aren’t all that fantastic. The world in Salt is procedurally generated which means that you get a seemingly never-ending array of possibilities. As you make your way through the trees and over the hills, you find various materials you can use to help you out in your quest for answers. The island seems to be deserted and so you start to explore. You wake up on a tropical island with no clue as to how you got there.
